I'm rewatching the series, and I've been reminded that one of my favorite episodes is War! It made me jealous of how Peta had such a knockout body and that episode was particularly suspenseful!
It's from the first season, but devoted fans would know would've known automatically because because each season was indicated by the number of words in it's title).
This makes me long for them to bring back the entire DREAM TEAM of the original cast. Who could put fear in anyone with the cool and calmness of Madeline? Or who did we love to hate more than Operations?
No matter what happens with this new reboot, it will always be Long Live La Femme Nikita! :rocker:

I feel people are being harsh in their judgement simply because they didn't get their demands met. Let's face it, that is the nature of almost all shows. Very few have endings that satisfy the viewers. They're meant to leave viewers wanting... Not only so the show can possibly be revisited in the future, but more importantly, to leave it to the fans and their imagination as to how it turned out. And anyone who watched the show knew that Michael and Nikita wound up together. How that happened can be imagined 1,000 different ways in the minds of the fans, and that was part of the constant yearning behind their relationship, not ever really knowing how they would get out of section and end up together. Why does it have to be spelled out?
That said, I am in agreement when it comes to Peta and Roy returning. To me, it would make sense that they are now the leaders of Section and would be overseeing missions with new "operatives," and that is the key. There were always new characters and often love interests thrown in, but don't mess with the Nikita we know and love. That will be a mistake.
As someone else mentioned, it could pick up where it left off and have flashbacks from the past 10 years to show how things progressed, but I do understand that it has to be made to appeal to a new generation (as well as the established fan base), so I am open to new trainee ops, just not as a replacement of the originals.
A movie would be too short-lived for me. I looked forward to my weekly does of suspense, romantic tension, and unknown outcomes!
Optimally, I am open to a hybrid, so to speak, that honors the original series and has room for new and crazy adventures (aka missions)!
To Peta and Roy: Please come back!

Condemned to death for a vicious crime she didn’t commit, Nikita (Peta Wilson) reluctantly chooses to live as a secret government assassin whose life is controlled by a mysterious agent (Roy Dupuis) and his colleagues. Based on the characters created for the film Nikita, the show premiered on broadcast television January 13, 1997.
PETA WILSON
as NIKITA
Born in Sydney, November 18, 1970 to a retired warrant officer and caterer, Wilson moved a dozen times by the age of thirteen. In high school, Wilson was named “best player” of her Australian national netball team and later moved to Europe where she became a model. In 1991 she moved to Los Angeles to concentrate on becoming an actress. She landed many small roles periodically over the next six years until she landed the leading role on La Femme Nikita in 1997.
ROY DUPUIS
as MICHAEL
A Canadian native, Dupuis learned English as a teenager and studied acting in Montreal at the National Theatre School of Canada where he graduated in 1996. Dupuis’ acting credits include film, television and theater, but he is best known for his role as Michael on La Femme Nikita.
ALBERTA WATSON
as MADELINE
Also a native of Canada, Watson began performing with a local Toronto theater group at the age of 15, where she did Hamlet in a workshop directed by Rene Bonniere, who later directed her in La Femme Nikita. During the second season of Nikita, Watson was diagnosed with lymphoma and lost her hair from chemotherapy. Nikita producers worked around her treatment and limited her appearances. Watson wore wigs on the show and when her hair started to grow back, she sported a short haircut in the show’s third season. Watson’s acting credits include television shows such as Law & Order, 24, and The Outer Limits. She has also been in films including indie hits like Spanking the Monkey and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
