Firefly Fans?

How can people not like this show?!? I'm heartbroken that there's so little activity on this board

Dude I'm here! If not for the totally non-existent advertising that proceeded Firefly, I might have been aware of it's existence when it came out and would therefor be a long-time die-hard fan. As fate would have it, I blunder across this show on the web, become addicted and ultimately bummed-out to find that only 14 episodes had been shot and only 11 of those actually aired! Of course I have been watching every episode online since and am hungry for more. Any chance that someone somewhere will revive this once unique, cool and edgy show fo those of us that feel as if we came along 3 years too late?

I think Firefly was perhaps the biggest mistake Joss Wheden EVER made! He gave up on it WAY too early! Everything was perfect, the acting was great, the stories imaginative, and the characters were the most compelling I've ever seen on tv. Of course if Joss WAS to manage getting the show back on air or perhaps, another movie, he really couldn't do it without the original actors. No one can beat the job Nathan did on that show. In fact, I can't imagine anyone filling the shoes of the original cast.

I was talking with people at work about Firefly just yesterday. The unanimous verdict was that Firefly was one of the best Sci-Fi shows ever produced for T.V. I, too, wish there had been more episodes. The stories were imaginative without being ridiculous, the cast (crew) were very entertaining, dialogue witty and natural, sets and special effects awesome... what more could a Sci-Fi fan want..?? Sigh... what a shame. At least we got "Serenity" out of it.

Correction, cancelling FF was the worst mistake Fox ever made. Joss did what he could. He's not all-powerful.

Not even a full season really. There is the movie, Serenity, which wraps up some of the storylines, and then there's the comic books. We can always hope Joss can find a way to bring it back. The fanbase is certainly there.

Aussie Firefly fan here! The WB used to get rid of all the shows I loved on a regular basis. I'm mad about FIREFLY, and ANGEL.
